Desa ParkCity Resident’s Green Day
Perdana ParkCity Sdn Bhd organized the Desa ParkCity Resident’s Green Day on January 18, 2009 at Car Park 2 at The Waterfront from 9 am to 1 pm. This inaugural recycling drive serves to inculcate and encourage the residents of Desa ParkCity to recycle their unwanted items and to dispose of them in a more Earth-friendly way.
Residents brought many recyclable items such as newspapers, mgazines, school books, corrugated carboard, plastic and glass items, as well as metal and paper products. The items that were brought in were weighed and for every kilogram of recycle-worthy items, RM0.20 was paid. A total of 1,895. 5 kg of recycled items were collected, amounting to RM 379.00 paid out. Most of the residents elected to contribute the money paid to them for their trash to their repective Resident Committees.
This campaign will be held every 2 months so those of you who missed this Green Day recycle drive, please look ouf for the next one happening soon.

It’s been two months, when will you have another recycling day?
This is a really great initiative to show that DPC cares for the environment. I am glad to have contributed in a small way and see so many residents do the same. A real community effort indeed.
However, it’s been more than 2 mths now since the last drive. Will we be hearing about the next one pretty soon?
Keep up the good work!
